Research & Development is one of the core pillars to AGF’s business. We understand the importance of testing varieties in Australian conditions to ensure performance in the paddock. By building relationships with domestic and international breeders AGF Seeds is able to create a pipeline of market leading varieties for Australian growers.
Our main trial site is located in Smeaton, Victoria and contains 100’s of plots of cereals, forage, and pasture testing a range of different factors including yield, dry matter produced, fungicide variations, sowing dates. We also host and maintain a PTN (Pasture Trials Network) at our trial site.
To further test our varieties across Australian condition we use independent trial organisations such as FAR Australia, NVT, and PTN to further deepen our understanding of our products to ensure performance in the paddock before release.
